Description

The BMTI is the institute of the University of Twente where all research in the (bio)medical field is brought together and carried out.
BMTI projects contribute to improving the autonomy of people with lost body functions by restoring lost -be it by accident, illness or old age- body functions.

The multidisciplinary research of the 11 different departments brings together the expertise of different chairs and experience in modern biomedical applications. The focus is on everything between (non-invasive) diagnostic applications via medical interventions and curing or replacing gaps in human physiology and anatomy
