Yokogawa Amersfoort
On 16 November 2018, members of the KIVI Department of Measurement, Control and Operation Technology and a large number of students from Avans University of Applied Sciences visited Yokogawa in Amersfoort. Besides Process Automation Systems, Yokogawa also makes a large number of different measuring instruments. During the tour, we were able to see that making the pH glass electrode is real craftsmanship. For us, the glassmakers would have stayed longer. What also stood out was that Yokogawa is working on a very large Process Automation System. This system may be called large, it involved as many as 100 different cabinets. Yokogawa also has its own SIL security system in their package. This goes up to SIL level 4.
It was a successful company visit.

SOLUTIONS for the PROCESS INDUSTRY
KIVI-MRB is organising a company visit to Yokogawa Europe Solutions BV on 16 November. We will visit the European headquarters of Yokogawa, a global Japanese concern, operating in more than 40 countries and employing over 19,000 people. The company specialises in measurement and control technology products and solutions for the process industry in particular.
Yokogawa is located in an impressive building in the Vathorst business park. Technological developments in the market are moving very fast and the company visit is a good opportunity to see the latest state of technological developments and the solutions offered by Yokogawa. Therefore, KIVI members are cordially invited.
