3D printing for consumers
Description
The second meeting in the series of three meetings of the triptych on 3D printing was planned for Thursday 13 September.
Unfortunately, this meeting has to be postponed to the 27th of September due to an important and unexpected commitment of speaker Mr Julian Sing.
After the first highly successful meeting on 3D printing, we hereby offer you the second and middle session of the series of three.
3D printing is discussed again and again and again and more can be read, seen and heard about it in the media. KIVI NIRIA wants to explore the status of this technology by means of three meetings, which will shed more light on this technology from different points of view.
This second session will focus on the relationship between 3D printing and the consumer.
Later this year, the third and last of the series of meetings will be about 3D printing for industry. This will explain the state of play for industrial applications and which manufacturing techniques may become obsolete with 3D printing in the future
The following issues will be discussed in this meeting.
- What does 3D mean for consumers and what are the implications for the "supply chain"?
- What activities will you possibly do yourself in the future and what will you leave to mass producers?
- What are Fab Labs and where do you find them in this region now?
- Build your own 3D printer or buy a ready-made version to print your own products?
