3D printing part 1 of 3 meetings
Description
Anno 2012, 3D printing is an increasingly well-known phenomenon. One can read and hear more and more about it in the media. Many questions arise with this new process.
KIVI NIRIA wants to explore the status of this technique through three meetings, where more clarity will be given about this technique from different points of view.
The various stakeholders will have their say and also give their views on the future. Active input will also be sought from the attendees.
Session 1
3D techniques and the basics of 3D printing
During this meeting, the basic techniques of 3D printing will be explained through a lecture in English by Mr Julian Sing, Project Manager, Freedom of Creation.
Part of this meeting will also include opportunities at Fontys Hogeschool in Eindhoven. The starting point here is to support stakeholders where possible with their own 3D modelling and 3D printing capabilities.
Session 2
3D printing for consumers (second half of 2012)
What does 3D printing mean for consumers and what will it mean for the production chain in the future.
Session 3
3D printing for industry (first half of 2013)
What is the state of play for industrial applications and which production techniques will become redundant with 3D printing in the future
