Engineering of metal-cast products
Description
What are characteristics of metal cast products? Heavy, thick, ugly, bulky, oversized are often the first answers. KIVI NIRIA is organising a meeting in which it will be presented how one can achieve an optimised metal-cast casting in terms of weight and cost.
With today's Cad and FEM programmes, an idea can be developed into a model that is strong where necessary but not unnecessarily heavy. Mr Mark Rahusen has dealt with this many times and can show the results using examples.
If you have a model of your own that you would like to see improved, please submit it and it can be used as an example. If too many models are submitted, a selection will be made.
