OEE: What is it? What does it deliver?

Whether it's a simple refrigerator or state-of-the-art EUV lithography machine from high-tech ASML, what matters is whether the device meets set requirements. And at the same time, how do you improve production and minimise production losses?

One method to determine the effectiveness of a device is by applying an OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) calculation. During this evening, we would like to take you through how to improve production techniques and efficiency through Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

We have two speakers in store for you:

  • Introduction to OEE
Wilbert Streefland, CEO at Technology Coaching in Heverlee (BE) and board member at KIVI Department of Mechanical Engineering

Using an example, our speaker will introduce you to OEE methodology. The example will show how, based on historical production data and the OEE approach methodology, a thorough improvement can be achieved for your production process
  • Application of OEE within ASML
Francesco Dicorato, upgrade architect at ASML in Veldhoven (in English).

Through a presentation, our speaker will explain how ASML applies this method to achieve maximum efficiency from its lithography machines over the entire life cycle of the machine.

After the presentations, we would like to join you for a more informal discussion café, where we would like to exchange insights and experiences while enjoying a snack & drink. We would also like to hear whether there is interest among our members in a follow-up on this topic.
