Annual meeting Mining
Description
On behalf of the board, I cordially invite all members of the Mining Section to attend the 2011 annual meeting. This will be held on Friday 1 April 2011 in Sociëteit-Café Het Noorden, Noordeinde 4, Delft; start 16.00 hrs.
Afterwards, members can participate in the traditional monthly Barbara Drinks, with a meal if desired (the meal is free for KIVI NIRIA members).
The agenda for the meeting is below. The documents for the meeting (annual report, annual financial review, budget and minutes of the previous meeting) will be available in due course on the KIVI NIRIA Department of Mining website: http://afdelingen.kiviniria.net/mijnbouw/
The book 'The Discovery of Tin on Billiton Island' will also be made available free of charge to ten attendees. The book describes the genesis of the multinational Billiton on the basis of an earlier description by John Francis Loudon, one of the discoverers of the tin deposits on Billiton Island, supplemented by unsullied opinions from his diary.
