Scientist Hans H.J. Labohm (1941) studied economics and economic history at the Municipal University of Amsterdam. He has been a guest researcher and advisor to the board at the Clingendael Institute since 1992 and publishes articles, books and reports at home and abroad, especially on international economic issues.

Fred Singer has become internationally known for his efforts on energy and environmental issues. A pioneer in the development of technologies for rockets and satellites, he developed, among other things, the instrument to measure stratospheric ozone. He was also the first scientist to predict that population growth would lead to an increase in atmospheric methane gas, a major greenhouse gas.
