Description

In 1912, 'Mining' became an independent programme within the Technical University of Delft. This course still lives on under the name Technical Earth Sciences and has therefore reached the respectable age of 100 years. The 'old' Mijnbouw building on the Mijnbouwstraat also celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012.

In addition, the Mijnbouwkundige Vereeniging celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2012 and the KIVI NIRIA 'Mining' department celebrated its 95th anniversary. 2012 is a real
Jubilee year!

Between 23 November and 1 December, the Mining Society will celebrate its
Lustrum with a large number of activities, one of which is the Open Day of the Technical Earth Sciences course.
