Media training
Description
18.30 h Reception with Roll !
19.00 h Start Media Training !
Theme: 'Out of the harness of jargon, the sense of media training'
Paul Witteman once described it as follows in a column in VARA TV Magazine:
"Increasingly, I interrogate politicians and business executives who have learned from the media trainer to come out of the harness of their jargon, to speak the truth and not to clam up at the first critical question."
During this evening, we will be taken through the added value of learning how to deal well with the Dutch media. And not because we are going to be interviewed on TV tomorrow, but because it helps us in sharing the information we want to share as well and to keep control over it ourselves. From an accident on the construction site to an unexpected question you get after your presentation: preparation, your awareness of your core message and your target group are crucial for successful press communication (what do you want to tell whom why?).
Christie Veldhuizen, Public Relations Officer at Royal BAM Group, will show us good and bad examples and give tips on how to prepare for 'media' moments. Depending on the number of participants, we will also do some exercises with each other.
