Stratego for women: the rules of the game
Description
"When a great position becomes vacant, men approach it themselves. If they get no response, they simply try again a few days later. Most women are primarily concerned with the content of their work and think that they will then automatically be rewarded with a promotion."
From: Het Financieele Dagblad, "Slim spel in de wandelgang"
"Little boys simply play games to win from a young age. Women often find it difficult to separate their position in the game from their own relationships and feelings"
From: De Standaard (Belgium), "Women must learn the men's game".
"Many women shy away from participating in all the political games played within their companies and look for another job."
From: Intermediair, "What stops women? Even young, ambitious and without children they get stuck"
The above articles focus on the "rules of the game" within organisations. The rules and the way the game is played are determined by men. If women also want to hold the higher positions in organisations or work effectively and with pleasure, it is important to know the differences in the behaviour and approach of women and men. Not to adapt, but to be able to play the game strategically.
During this workshop, participants will gain insight into the different orientations of men and women. What is the underlying pattern and what is its effect in the unwritten rules of the game when it comes to making a career or acting effectively. And what unwritten rules are dominant in many organisations?
For those who wish, we will serve a sandwich between 6pm and 7pm. The workshop starts at 7pm
