This year, the theme of Woman In Energy was "Equally Different". the aim of the day-long event is to highlight the added value of diversity in the workplace. We welcomed no fewer than 100 participants this year at Shell's headquarters in The Hague. The morning programme consisted of four lectures followed by a panel discussion and the afternoon was filled with workshops and a closing drink. We received a lot of positive feedback from the participants. This was great appreciation for our efforts. For those who did not attend, below is an overview of the speakers and workshops.

The lectures were by:

Coby van der Linde - Director of the Clingendael International Energy Programme
Alexander van Noort - General manager for the Netherlands & Denmark, Schlumberger
Sally Martin - VP SE&SP for downstream & Manufacturing, Shell UK
Fiona Dewey - Head of Geophysics, Wintershall

Followed by the workshops:

Lean In - W@T
The Seven Vices - Ellen Söentken
Personal Impact - Mission Performance
Ambition with Spirit - Tessa van Schoonhoven & Jannet Huizinga
The Power of Image and Style - Rohini Patadin
What makes you tick - Ellen Söentken
