Sylvia van Es will become president of Philips Netherlands from 1 July. She takes over from Hans de Jong, who is retiring after a more than 35-year career at Philips
In this position, Sylvia van Es will, among other things, represent Philips in the Netherlands at national, regional and local level, to governments, employer organisations and in various partnerships. She will be involved in national and regional policy themes in the field of innovation and health technology, and she will represent the company to employee participation bodies.
During her career within Philips, Sylvia van Es gained leadership experience in various roles and developed broad knowledge of Philips business activities worldwide. In her current role, she has extensive experience in current topics, such as digitalisation, cybersecurity and data. Van Es will work closely with Philips Benelux Market Leader and Senior Vice President, Henk Valk.
