Description

KIVI NIRIA's Nuclear Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Netherlands Nuclear Society, is organising a symposium "Isotopes make you feel better!" on Friday 12 April next.

The applications of stable isotopes are expanding worldwide, from industrial to medical. URENCO Netherlands' Stable Isotopes Division is a business unit that makes an important contribution to the global production of stable isotopes.

On Friday 12 April next, a KIVI-NIRIA/NNS/DYG symposium on stable isotopes will take place at URENCO in Almelo, focusing on medical applications. A number of interesting speakers have been invited to explain the whole process from production to use. There will also be the unique opportunity for a guided tour of URENCO's Stable Isotopes department.

A meeting specifically for DYG members will take place in the morning. DYG members will receive an invitation for this.

NB: The company visit to URENCO is only accessible for people who are able-bodied and who do not use aids.
This is due to safety regulations on site and the fact that there will be a walk, including stairs, through the plant.
Participants must identify themselves upon entry with a valid ID. This is in connection with the strict security requirements applicable at URENCO. Without valid proof of identity, visitors will not be granted access. The proof of identity must be the same as that specified on the participant list.

Furthermore, it is forbidden to bring a camera or mobile phone with a camera onto the site. These digital media can be deposited in a safe at the Security desk
