Working offshore in the oil & gas industry, whether for exploration, installation, drilling or production, demands reliable equipment.
Ropes made with Dyneema® provide the unique combination of extreme strength, light weight and small diameter necessary for offshore applications such as rig mooring, deep-sea installation operations, anchor handling or offshore positioning. Because these ropes float, they are perfect for use in water, as they remain visible and avoid becoming tangled with subsurface objects.
DSM has been supporting the product Dyneema® for offshore applications for many years, and can now report about the actual use of Dyneema® in a number of projects, such as Shell's Perdido in the Gulf of Mexico. In the same presentation the use of Dyneema® in other offshore applications will be highlighted.

SIDELIGHTS
A sandwich meal will take place prior to the lecture. It will start at 18:00.
The pre-meal lunch and the drinks afterwards will be offered by DSM Dyneema B.V.
The drinks afterwards will be held at café 'De Posthoorn' on the Lange Voorhout.
