Description
8th Lustrum of the Offshore Division of KIVI NIRIA and presentation of Medal of Honour.
It is a good practice of the Offshore Division of KIVI NIRIA to reflect on its fifth anniversary every five years. Therefore, in this lustrum year of 2009, the board of the Offshore Engineering Section has organised a festive event, which will consist of two parts:
- Presentation of the Medal of Honour* for Outstanding Technical Achievement for the Dutch Offshore Industry to Ir. Joop Roodenburg, Director Huisman-Itrec B.V.
- Minisymposium titled 'Economic Crisis en/in (?) the Offshore'.
This medal of honour of the departments of Maritime Engineering and Offshore Engineering is awarded once every two years, alternately to a laureate working in the field of Maritime Engineering and Offshore Engineering. In 2009, it is Offshore Techniek's turn.
After the mini-symposium, interested parties will have the opportunity to tour Huisman-Itrec B.V.'s production facilities.
The afternoon will be concluded with drinks and buffet.
