T&I DolWin Gamma
Description
The largest HVDC station ever built (20,000t), for client Alstom, is to be positioned in the North Sea on 2 jackets of 5000t each.
The station and jackets will be built by Nordic Yards on three different locations in Northern Germany and from there they will be transported to the site. The limited water depth poses challenges during the installation, and the chance of bad weather in late summer is another important threat in this project. However, with the experienced Dutch contractors Heerema Marine Contractors, Dockwise and Mammoet the entire process will be finalised successfully.

Rainer Schott (Manager TI Department at Nordic Yards), Koen Brouwers (Project Engineer Energy Division at Boskalis (former Dockwise), Marcel Hulzebos (Project Engineer at Heerema Marine Contractors) and Raymond van Dijk (Project Manager at Mammoet).
