Description

The new board of the KIVI Philosophy and Engineering Section has prepared a number of activities.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday 8 March next and will be hosted by Jac van den Broek and by Pavlina Nanou. It involves two reflections on Circular Economy. This responds to KIVI's annual theme.

Circular Economy is KIVI's 2017-2018 annual theme. We have been asked from the bureau to help think about the cross-technology aspects. We will prepare that as a board for the meeting and discussion on 8 March. Pavlina Nanou and Jac van den Broek will each provide an introduction.

Jac van den Broek will discuss the transfer and need to accept groundbreaking insight in the use of available material resources for consumer goods and the moral imperative for technologists to develop knowledge to prevent uncontrolled proliferation of used resources.

Pavlina Nanou, after introducing herself as a new board member of the Philosophy & Engineering Department, will discuss the technology of the circular economy, the Facts & Figures. Where are the opportunities for the Netherlands and how does she contribute with her work to this circular economy
