Pre-programmed
Description
Thinking about the social stay of technology, lecture I of the Rathenau Institute by Jelte Timmer, MA, Researcher in the Technology Assessment Department, title: Pre-programmed.
In our everyday choices, we increasingly allow ourselves to be assisted by online platforms that pre-programme our choices. We have to, because there is simply too much information on the internet to make sense of it. But when does pre-programming serve convenience, when does it force us and when is it just not necessary?
