Social residence permit III
Description
Reflecting on the social stay of technology, Rathenau Institute lecture III by dr.ir. Geert Munnichs, coordinator of the Technology Assessment Department, title Are modern humans living in a technotope?
We are living in a technotope. Scientific and technological developments are having an increasing impact on our society. Society is becoming more scientific, science more social. This leads to - unprecedented - new opportunities, but also involves risks. The Rathenau Institute investigates these opportunities and risks and stimulates the political and public debate on them. Public research is a frequently used tool for this. For instance, focus groups can be used to map citizens' views on new technological developments. This often produces surprising results. But what do those outcomes say?
Prior to the lecture, the General Assembly of Members of the Philosophy & Technology Department will be held from 17:00. When registering, please indicate whether you would like to attend
