ICDuBo + Members' meeting
The Innovation Centre for Sustainable Construction in Rotterdam / ex RDM site
- with 2,500 m² of exhibition space, is the leading knowledge centre for all phases of sustainable construction;
- which covers not only the actual construction matters but also the design and installations and RO aspects of projects;
- informs parties from the construction, real estate and installation sector about all relevant, up-to-date sustainability aspects including energy matters;
- provides a direct link between clients, suppliers, designers, consultants, educational and knowledge institutions;
- focuses on knowledge application and cooperation between the parties;
- is a sector where, especially in innovative developments, good socially responsible risk management plays an important role.
Hence the choice of this location for the KIVI-RBT end-of-year members' meeting 2018.
Prior to the activity, the General Members' Meeting will take place.
*) A current point of interest is the development and application of heat pumps as a large-scale replacement of the familiar central heating boiler. This involves the use of sometimes highly flammable natural refrigerants under increased higher pressure. A conversion similar in scale to the introduction of natural gas in the Netherlands!
After an introduction to this topic and a tour of the exhibition site, there will be ample opportunity to engage in a discussion on this development. And where possible to contribute additional experience of KIVI-RBT participants. Alternative ideas can also be brainstormed, such as the application of hydrogen and/or ammonia as fuel for an adapted central heating boiler.
