Description

The board of the Environmental Technology / Food & Green department is pleased to invite you to Amsterdam for the meeting with the theme "Innovate Dutch Heritage for a Healthy Metropolis".

In addition to KIVI members, introducers and students are also welcome to attend the presentation of "National Theme Park the Green Climate Belt for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area".

Between 16:00 and 21:30, initiators, project participants and specialists will present this ambitious plan with the goal and challenge for future generations in the growing metropolis, that they can live longer and better quality lives. The plan is based on a transition policy for economy, education, training, recreation, energy, space, tourism and employment with preservation of cultural heritage, which as a result will have multiple integrated applications. The proposed policy and innovative plan has all the characteristics of sustainable corporate social responsibility.

Meanwhile, this idea is also shared with the Provincial Councils of North Holland and Flevoland, Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten and the organic farmers' organisation.

The Green Climate Belt, through a top-down approach is being pitched to Provincial administrators and Local Aldermen sustainability within the Metropolitan Region to realise climate ambitions. The plan is already getting space along the SAA motorway route and in the seventh world horticultural exhibition Floriade 2022 where the green belt can be closed. You can download the programme via the link at the bottom of this page.
