Description

Wastewater contains very valuable resources. Which are they? How do you unlock them? And can products with successful market opportunities be developed from them?

These are some of the questions that are being asked by various water boards and industries in their efforts to recover raw materials to promote a more sustainable water system. Three topics offer a lot of opportunities: nutrients, bioplastics and cellulose.

Do you have innovative ideas on production or applications around these
topics and would you like to realise these together with other entrepreneurs and
elaborate on them?
In this theme meeting with workshops for SMEs, the opportunities for innovative entrepreneurship will be further explained.

The aim of the workshops is to actively involve SMEs in the challenges in the water sector. First and foremost, SMEs can make their innovation needs and promising solutions known, which may lead to new partnerships.
Issues that exist within your company and/or issues you would like to work on together with other entrepreneurs will be central during the workshops. KIVI members are cordially invited to think along and participate! There will also be opportunity and space to pitch your innovative ideas and present a poster (or banner) of your idea

12.45 - 14.00 Opening
- Introduction on realisation circular economy and bio-based economy and

14.00 - 14.30 Coffee break
Opportunity to walk around and briefly reflect and network. Also
opportunity to present posters in the central hall.

14.30 - 16.30 Workshop sessions: Nutrients, Cellulose, Bioplastics
Three sub-sessions will present concrete (business) cases
for which SMEs are challenged to come up with innovative solutions
. SMEs will be given the opportunity to communicate (partial) solutions,
bottlenecks and innovation needs. They will then jointly explore
where the solutions on offer
can reinforce each other and which follow-up steps are necessary.
Knowledge parties present will be given the opportunity to indicate whether and
how they can reinforce the initiatives that have arisen.
