Information meeting on support for start-ups in Energy and Environmental Technology (EMT)
If you are a starter, are in the development phase or have the idea of starting a business in energy and environmental technology (EMT), you know better than anyone that the step to professionalism is difficult. That is why we want to organise an information meeting for start-ups in the first quarter of 2013, addressing questions around professional support, financing and accommodation, among others. We will be guests at Industriepark Kleefse Waard (IPKW), which has been home to the Greenhouse Foundation since March 2012.
What is the Greenhouse?
The Greenhouse Foundation is an incubator (incubator) for start-ups in EMT, also known as clean tech. The foundation aims to educate and support budding entrepreneurs on all kinds of issues involved in starting their own business. The Greenhouse helps entrepreneurial talent through professional support, funding and accommodation.
Professional support
Users of the Greenhouse have direct access to an extensive network of professionals, who are present one day a week to answer questions and give advice. These consultation hours are low-threshold and free of charge. Also, these partners - an EMT network, engineering firm, accounting firm and law firm - offer their additional services on favourable terms.
Funding
In terms of financial support, access can be provided to pre-seed loans and proof of concept loans from StartLife (Wageningen University) and Gelderland Valorises (Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen). There are also short lines of communication with Oost NV and PPM Oost, and an informal investor or representative of an investment company regularly visits the Greenhouse to get acquainted with the various start-ups in the Greenhouse.
Housing
The Greenhouse accommodates start-ups with a low entry price, which grows with the company. Leases are flexible - a rental period starting from six months with one month's notice - allowing parties to easily exit. The Greenhouse is located amid EMT companies at IPKW in Arnhem, giving it access to the park's extensive facilities.
13.00-13.30 hrs Reception.
At the porter's lodge on the Westervoortse Dijk, you will be informed about the room where the meeting will take place.
13.30-16.30 hrs Information meeting, which will include at least the following elements:
- Introduction about Industriepark Kleefse Waard
- Presentation about the opportunities offered by the Greenhouse
- Tour of facilities of the Greenhouse and IPKW.
In addition, there will be plenty of room for questions and discussion.
