OLA Production
Description
Ola Production is an ice cream factory in Hellendoorn with 180 employees, producing around 40 million litres of ice cream annually. Ola Production is part of Unilever. Since 2002, Ola Production has been the European ice cream factory for Ben & Jerry's. It also produces Magnum After Dinner and Hertog.
Ben & Jerry's originates from Vermont in America. The rural character of this American state fits well with the image of the village of Hellendoorn and its surrounding area, which is associated with fresh milk, dairy and cream, among other things. Hence, Unilever decided to concentrate production for the whole of Europe of this successful brand here. For Ben & Jerry's, sustainability and social mission are very important concepts. The tour will mainly focus on the manufacturing of Ben & Jerry's and also the philosophy of this famous brand. More information can be found at www.benjerry.nl.
