Description

What is and does Sapa Extrusion Benelux do?
Sapa's objective is to supply aluminium components that make products better and easy(er) to assemble. This is achieved by making optimal use of the favourable properties of aluminium. For example, it is possible to use less material and construct lighter products by making optimal use of the formability of aluminium.
Another favourable property of aluminium is that it is infinitely recyclable, without loss of properties. Sapa is active in recycling aluminium scrap and using it as a raw material for new aluminium products. Sapa has a recycling facility in Drunen.

Mr Rik Mertens, Marketeer Sapa Extrusion Benelux, will give a presentation on the above and on the activities of Sapa Benelux.

Aluminium as a sustainable material
Based on the properties of aluminium, a considerable number of sustainable products can be made. Continuous efforts are made to make better and even more sustainable products from aluminium.

The Circular Economy of Aluminium
Due to the properties of aluminium, aluminium has a very high recycling rate. The circular economy of aluminium is presented. Starting from the aluminium chain, it is presented what the circular economy of aluminium and developments in the aluminium chain contribute to sustainability topics such as energy consumption, reduction of emissions to air and water, the reduction of raw material consumption and waste products.
