Description

Social context, Technology and Business-aspects

Currently, most developments in healthcare are taking place at the edges of the care cycle. The focus is shifting from diagnosis and treatment to prevention, early diagnostics and effective voms of aftercare. All this in the social context of an ageing population and rising healthcare costs. In this context, the theme Telemedicine comes into play: how can Telematics applications play a role in the creation of effective and efficient services in the field of early diagnostics and aftercare, close to the patient/client. The Telemedicine theme will be developed through two projects DigiBOB - Digitalisation of Breast Cancer Screening and Home Healthcare.
In both themes, the social context, market demand, business impact and technology will be explained, both from the perspective of patient/client, customer and supplier.

The lectures will be held by
- Emile Knops, RIVM, Project leader DigiBOB
- Johan Koolen, implementation manager Philips Healthcare Benelux
- Erwin van Leussen, innovation manager Achmea Zorg
- Jelle v.d. Weijde, Philips Healthcare, expert Telemedicine solutions
