Higher speeds through copper network
Description
The Telecommunications Department of KIVI invites you to the theme evening "How the copper network is realising ever faster speeds".
The Internet is taking on an ever-increasing role in our society. In almost every household and company, the internet is used intensively. As a result, the demand for bandwidth is growing exponentially by about 40% per year.
For network providers, this means that they have to keep meeting this growing demand. This requires technologies that incorporate more and more intelligence. KPN is currently rolling out VDSL2 over its copper telephony network. Ziggo is currently testing DOCSIS 3.1 over its coaxial network.
In this meeting, we will discuss these new technologies, how they work and what it could mean for our networks of the future. There will of course be plenty of room for interaction with the speakers.
Sandwiches on reception €10.00. Sign up below. Settlement will take place at the reception.
