CONTENTS
IPv6 is the successor to IPv4, the core protocol of the Internet. IPv6 is mainly supposed to address the upcoming shortage of IP addresses. For example, IPv6 would allow every mobile phone in the world to have a unique IP address for data communication. The transition to IPv6 is sometimes compared to the millennium problem and the euro migration.
Which organisations are already opting for IPv6 and why? What does the large-scale migration to IPv6 look like, and what can and should IT organisations do now
