The KIVI Telecommunications Department had invited you to a seminar with visit to Radio-Holland's office building in Rotterdam, on Wednesday 23 October 2019.

Radio Holland is a Dutch company, specialising in maritime satellite and radio communications and navigation systems especially for maritime navigation.

The following two lectures were held at Radio-Holland:

- Henk Middelkoop will highlight the developments of Radio-Holland from 1916 to 2012 and after the break

- Paul Smulders (Director Radio-Holland) those from 2012 to the present and the future.

No presentations of these are available.

There was also an opportunity during the break to view (historic) Radio-Holland equipment.

Henk Middelkoop is also secretary Stichting Historisch Material Radio-Holland and has the book "Een eeuw Radio-Holland 1916-2016" on sale for €12.50 for those interested in radio communications and positioning on ships.

Radio-Holland has focused on radio communications and positioning on board ships for more than 100 years. It made for an interesting evening.
