Description

The Amsterdam Alliance WALTZ (Western Alliance Team Zuidtak), formed by ProRail and Combinatie Nieuwe Meer Sporen, is responsible for the section of track between Riekerpolder and Amsterdam Zuid station (Zuidtak West). Combination Nieuwe Meer Sporen is a fully integrated combination of Van Hattum and Blankevoort and VolkerRail. OV SAAL Zuidtak West includes the rail extension from Riekerpolder connection to Amsterdam Zuid WTC station.

There will be a modification of the track connection at Riekerpolder (west of the Schinkel) and a new fly-over at the rail-A10 junction. The tracks will be doubled between Riekerpolder and the Schinkel and several viaducts will be adapted. (including the A10 connecting arch and the Bijenpark subway). There will be a new movable bridge over the Schinkel and a new viaduct over Amstelveenseweg and over the museum tram line

During the project visit (reception in the construction shack), the alliance manager, construction manager and project manager executive contractor will give a presentation on the functioning of the alliance and explain the project in terms of content (including phasing, environmental management and technology). After the project presentation, there will be a tour of the project including a visit to the Schinkel Bridge and the artworks.
