Study trip Copenhagen 7 to 9 March 2018
Description
As part of its 10th anniversary, the Rail Systems Section is organising an interesting study tour for members of the Rail Systems Section to Copenhagen from 7 to 9 March 2018.
The programme is as follows (subject to change)
Wednesday 7 March
Trip to Copenhagen (on own account).
in the evening drinks.
Thursday 8 March
Morning: reception and presentation by Strukton Denmark on the implementation of ERTMS in the Fjernbane project with a focus on certification and the interfaces on the external elements of the protection system.
Visit to the JTL (Joint Test Lab).
Afternoon: visit to new traffic control centre and presentation by Alstom on implementation of ERTMS and Traffic Management System.
Evening: Jubilee dinner offered by KIVI Department of Rail Systems.
Friday 9 March
Visit to the Fehmarnbelt project office. This project concerns the realisation of a combined traffic and rail tunnel between Puttgarden (Germany) and Rodbyhavn (Denmark) in order to complete a faster connection between Western Europe and Copenhagen/Sweden.
Visit to Copenhagen metro extension project . 17 new underground metro stations are being built and will be commissioned in 2019.
Presentation on upcoming megaprojects in Copenhagen region between 2020 and 2030.
End of afternoon: Return trip on own.
Costs
Participation fee: €50 per person (for attending the presentations, excursions, lunches, etc.).
Travel and hotel costs are at your own expense. Rooms in a hotel can be booked on your own initiative. Some suggestions for hotels are given below. Please note that this activity is organised for KIVI members. There is a maximum number of participants of 25 people. Available places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration closes on Thursday 15 February or as much earlier as the maximum number of persons is reached.
