Description

ProRail has been building a new railway line between Lelystad and Zwolle since 2007: the Hanze Line. By the end of December 2012, a train journey between the two cities will take just thirty minutes. This will bring the north and north-east of the Netherlands much closer to the Randstad conurbation in train travel time. New stations will be built in Dronten and Kampen and Lelystad station will be upgraded. A new bridge will be built over the IJssel between Hattem and Zwolle; and a tunnel under the Drontermeer between Dronten and Kampen is under construction. The construction of the Hanze Line will cost over €1 billion.

The project has now reached the point where there is also a lot to see. ProRail invites us to take a look in Hattem where construction activities for the bridge over the IJssel are in full swing
