'Design battle' urban planning and traffic Maarschalkerweerd Utrecht

Are you an urban planner or a traffic expert? Do you sometimes wonder about the other discipline? Grab this opportunity to have a chat with them.

On 11 July, the Traffic and Transport Section of the KIVI (Royal Institute of Engineers), in collaboration with the BNSP (Professional Association of Dutch Urban Designers and Planners) and the Utrecht City Council, is organising a 'design battle' with urban designers and traffic experts for the Maarschalkerweerd area in the city of Utrecht. An area where there is a lot of potential for a new integrated concept of accessibility and urban design.
Will you help to come up with concrete concepts in integrated teams? By designing together with the other discipline instead of side by side? After introducing the case, we will compete in groups. In between, there will be room for conversation over a shared meal.
We will present the results of the battle to an expert jury from both disciplines and the relevant project team of the Utrecht municipality, and conclude with drinks.
