Source: Wikipedia Frog AGV systems

Programme outline:

Scope:

  • Looking to the future as a red line. The context of the Mobility Transition we are in, the need for innovations in it. What are possible effects of social and technological developments on road safety.
  • Starting point: what is the problem, in terms of the social task(s), cost savings etc.
  • How can we ensure that these developments contribute to improving road safety?
  • How can we timely detect and manage/compensate for any risks that may arise?
  • What differences do we see between urban areas and the regions outside the Randstad in the context of mobility services for rural accessibility and their consequences for road safety?
  • Which innovations/developments do we expect to intrinsically improve road safety, and how can we accelerate these developments?

Speakers will give their views on the theme from different perspectives (the 3 pillars of the road safety work field):

  • Vehicle developments
  • Integration in the mobility system (infrastructure and environment)
  • Man (behaviour, social importance)
