Scarabee Systems & Technology B.V. + ALV
This excursion involved Scarabee's Security Experience Center in Hoofddorp. After being welcomed by Scarabee's management, our AGM took place first. Then, the president and chairman of Scarabee Systems & Technology, Mr Michael Tan and his colleagues' presentations elaborated on their global business activities in the field of Airport Solutions. There was plenty of room for interesting discussion.
This was followed by a visit to the Demolab, a medium-sized design hall. Here we saw how access gates and scanners, conveyor belts for various types of baggage and a camera-guarded (waiting) area were designed, built and tested. Detailed questions were expertly answered.
As a whole, a very interesting meeting that was well attended.
Description
Scarabee provides innovative solutions for baggage handling, passenger flow and airport security systems. Activities also include the optimisation of existing systems, logistics of automated warehouses as well as maintenance.
Scarabee is the systems integrator for revamping Schiphol's security checkpoints. For this, a new passenger concept was developed with Schiphol that combines high-quality technical-logistical functionalities with the more human aspects. Most of the development has taken place in the security experience centre and highlights will be explained during the tour
