Terberg Benschop
Description
Terberg Benschop is a leading manufacturer of special tractors and trailers for ports, industry, logistics and distribution centres, and customised trucks for earthmoving and construction transport.
Terberg vehicles operate in more than 80 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, China and Australia.
Terberg Benschop has a long history starting in 1869 when the great-grandfather of the current management started a smithy in Benschop. Especially after WWII, the company grew strongly and acquired an important position as market leader in, among other things, tractors and (multi)trailers for container terminals.
In recent years, Terberg Benschop has paid a lot of attention to improving the efficiency of its business processes. For example, the introduction of a new factory layout and revision of the production processes has enabled maximum output to be achieved with a short lead time.
This company visit takes place in cooperation with the Dispuut Transportkunde of TU Delft. Registration via the KIVI NIRIA website is therefore limited to 20 people for the time being. Depending on enrolment by students through the Dispuut, this limitation may be extended. This will then be indicated in the announcement on the KIVI NIRIA website.
