Overseas Trip 2023 to ANTWERPEN - ZEEBRUGGE - PARIS

from 30 September to 4 October 2023

After 5 years of waiting, and an epidemic further, the engineering association KIVI TTOW with the COB and KIVI TTOW-YM is organising another study tour of foreign practical projects this autumn.

From 30 September to 4 October 2023, you can travel along through Belgium and France. The trip will take in various new construction and renovation projects.

In the provisional programme, we will visit the construction dock for the 'Oosterweelverbinding' in Zeebrugge (immersion tunnel) and 'De Lijn Premetro' in the centre of Antwerp (tunnel renovation).

After travelling on to Paris by train, we will visit the AFTES congress and meet our French friends.

The city is being prepared for the Olympic Games in 2024. We will drop by some of these projects. We will start at the 'Grand Paris Express, L16' (bored tunnel), Then we will move on to the construction of 'EOLE La Defense (Le CNIT)' (metro station).

Towards the end, we will visit another part of the, 'Grand Paris Express, L17'(bored tunnel). We hope to conclude with an interesting workshop on experiences and lessons learned at bored tunnels in Paris. Of course, with plenty of room for socialising and great meetings!

The price for members and non-members is € 1900. This amount fully includes the trip, accommodation, food/drink and, among other things, access to the AFTES congress.

Students can travel along for €250. There is room for a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 40 participants. Please respond before 31 August.
