KIVI Department of Tunnel Engineering and Underground Works cordially invites you to a workshop on 31 January 2023 entitled:

From a Tangent Design to an Integral Design

Although there are many books and standards that help facilitate tunnel design, in today's practice the challenge of achieving an integral tunnel design is still great.

KIVI Tunnel Engineering and Underground Works (TTOW) is pleased to invite you to a workshop on Tuesday 31 January at VolkerWessels Infra' s DigiLab in Vianen where the aspects of good integral tunnel design will be presented.

During this workshop, (tunnel) design specialists i.r.t. designing tunnel projects will tell how, within their organisations and projects, they deal with the dilemmas and challenges they experience in the transition from 'interface design' to 'integral design'. The dilemmas and challenges involved will be discussed in small groups, through workshops.

At the end, we will share the lessons learned to make a good integral design.

If you have experience with - or interest in - integral tunnel design projects and if you have a civil engineering background and/or affinity with tunnel installations, this workshop is for you!
