PST plant
ARN aims to achieve high-quality recycling of shredder waste at acceptable costs. ARN therefore opened the PST plant in Tiel in April 2011, with the aim of achieving 95% recycling for old cars by 2015. This further processes waste after the shredding process with Post Shredder Technology (PST). Shredder waste is separated for reuse in various ways. This produces four main streams of raw materials, which are used in different sectors to make new products. Useful materials:
- Minerals
- Fibres
- Plastics
- Metals
The PST plant in Tiel is essential for the last percent in achieving the 95% recycling and recovery target.
