MEE has been based in Almere since 1989 and is part of Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.

MEE has two divisions/product groups: Engines & Turbochargers.

The Engine division handles the customisation of marine engines and generator sets for an extensive network of dealers and distributors in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
MEE imports Mitsubishi engines (up to 3.5 MW) from Japan. In Almere, these diesel and gas engines are adapted to customer requirements (shipyards, shipowners, etc.) or converted into generator sets. We have test facilities for testing the engines.

As a major manufacturer and supplier to the European automotive industry, the Turbo division annually equips almost two million engines with a turbocharger. Our clients include Peugeot, Renault, BMW, Volkswagen and Ford.
At MEE, the entire process from development to turbocharger production takes place.

The international quality certificates ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 attest to the high priority given to customer focus and quality. MEE also has a certified environmental management system according to ISO 14001.

Thanks in part to the efforts of around 800 enthusiastic and ambitious MEE de-workers, MEE achieved a turnover of 450 million euros in 2007.

This company visit consists of both a guided tour and presentations explaining the various processes within MEE.
