TNO Automotive Powertrains lab
Description
Excursion at TNO Automotive Powertrains lab.
Followed by the Syker Lecture and Spyker Prize Ceremony 2009, also in the Automotive House (register separately via the link to the announcement below).
After a short presentation on the activities of TNO Powertrain, the test facilities will be visited. This will include a tour of the recently commissioned Altitude Climate Chamber. This new and unique facility enables testing of engines and complete vehicles at extreme ambient conditions. The temperature can be varied between -45°C and +55°C and the pressure can be reduced to a level equivalent to an altitude of 4,000 metres.
