Description

This second Friday of the month, Stefan Grob will talk about his company and various projects he has carried out with it related to acoustic consultancy, electronics development and product development.

During this lecture, he will talk about how you can use sound to combat noise pollution, for example, how you can visualise sound with the acoustic camera, or to combat hail.

The latter project; the silent anti-hailstorm gun, which was nominated for the Golden Decibel in 2013 and finished in the top three, contains an interesting ethical question. Because, what do you do when you get the chance to make something whose efficacy is unproven, but which satisfies someone's need?

In short, it promises to be another interesting and diverse lecture.

See you on the 8th!
