YKE is organising a presentation evening "Energy in the future - working at the interface between government and business" on 14 September 2010.

Presentations and opportunity for discussion on working at the interface between government and business in the energy sector. With speakers from Deltalinqs and DCMR Milieudienst Rijnmond, the issue will be highlighted from both sides.

The Rotterdam Climate Initiative (RCI) is an ambitious climate programme in which four parties, under the ambassadorship of Ruud Lubbers, have entered into a unique collaboration: the municipality of Rotterdam, Port of Rotterdam Authority NV, DCMR Milieudienst Rijnmond and Deltalinqs. The objective of the RCI is the most ambitious of
the Netherlands: fifty per cent less CO2 in 2025 compared to 1990, preparing for climate change and strengthening the Rotterdam economy.
The Rotterdam Climate Initiative provides a platform where government, organisations, companies and residents work together to halve CO2 emissions and strengthen the economy in the Rotterdam region.

Deltalinqs represents the joint interests of the logistics and industrial companies in the Rotterdam port and industrial area. The organisation is considered the point of contact for and the mouthpiece on behalf of the more than 600 member companies and associations.

Using legal instruments and its specific expertise, the DCMR Environmental Protection Agency Rijnmond contributes to reducing the environmental burden of companies and increasing the environmental quality and safety in the Rijnmond area. It does so on behalf of the province of South Holland and fifteen municipalities in the Rijnmond area. Based on its expertise, the DCMR also actively works on the integration of environmental aspects in other policy areas and on social issues and new developments related to the environment and safety.
