Exclusive guided tour of Naval Dockyard
Description
In collaboration with the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO), YKE is hosting a unique tour of this part of the Navy on Friday 19 June 2009. This visit will cover the various facets of DMO, from the dry dock to the antenna measurement room.
09.30 Arrival NS railway station Den Helder (for public transport passengers)
10.00 Reception and short introductory presentation
10.30 Guided tour Dock VI, Ship lift complex and various workshops
12.00 Lunch
13.00 Guided tour Kaiser (Optronics/Measurement and Calibration Centre)
14.30 Tour of B&O Hall (Antenna Measurement Room, maintenance of sensors, cannons, etc.)
15.30 End of programme
16.00 Departure NS station Den Helder
Only 25 places are available for this exclusive visit to DMO. Be quick to register as full = full. For train passengers, transport has been arranged from Den Helder NS railway station. Of course it is also possible to come with your own transport, we will give you the address of DMO when you confirm.
Please register by 8 June 2009 at the latest and do not forget to give your passport/ID card number and whether you are coming by public transport or your own.
On the day itself you must have your passport or ID card with you, otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the grounds.
