Kick-off Study Trip Hong Kong
Description
As an economic metropolis, Hong Kong is firmly building an R&D infrastructure and attracting innovative companies and startups worldwide. All this right next to Pearl River Delta, the factory of the world, and growing markets in China/Asia. Young KIVI Engineers is organising a study tour to Hong Kong in March 2017 and aims to draw up KIVI-wide relevant questions and themes. Are you interested? Hong Kong Institute of Engineers
In early 2015, the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers came to the Netherlands. With great interest and strong professionalism, they looked at Dutch waterworks, environmental technology (including waste treatment) and sustainable transport (including bicycle infrastructure) and studied the potential application value for Hong Kong. They were also guests at the KIVI headquarters in The Hague, all the more reason for another visit!
Highlights
We like to involve all KIVI members in this project, although the trip itself is organised for Young Engineers. Besides being a great way to experience the latest developments from Asia, you can expect the following from us:
- Interesting activities prior to the trip in which you will discover more about Hong Kong, Chinese and innovation culture
- Participation in the theme development, if you have any questions, ideas or advice from your own field of expertise that you would like to submit to the travellers, come along!
- A great opportunity to get in touch with the Young Engineers and send them on their way with relevant questions from the field.
- An extensive report and presentation afterwards with the latest developments from Asia.
Kick-Off
During this first meeting, we would like to brainstorm with you about companies to visit, what you would like to learn and what knowledge you would like to transfer during this trip, among other things. There will also be room to ask practical questions about the organisation of this trip.
