Time management
Description
DATES
Monday 19 January 2009, 19.00-22.00
Monday 26 January 2009, 19.00-22.00
Life seems to be moving faster and faster. More has to be done in less and less time (not least by young academics), while quietly reflecting on things is long gone.
We don't have to resign ourselves to that. This training, now in its tenth year, teaches you techniques to manage your time more effectively and efficiently such as:
- Setting goals and priorities
- Recognising unnecessary time wasters
- Dealing with interruptions and unforeseen events.
The training is characterised by many practical tips and confrontational exercises, resulting in a sea of time if the right rules are observed.
Time Management is a training for people who want to do the things that really matter and spend the remaining time on other things that add an extra dimension to the quality of life.
TRAINING ASPACT
The training has a practical content, whereby a connection is sought as much as possible with daily practice. This includes looking at job descriptions and tasks versus the activities actually performed. Using logbooks, the effectiveness and efficiency of actions will be critically examined and evaluated. We will also examine which activities can be delegated and how this should be done. How to deal with internal and external clients will also be discussed.
PREPARATION
Participants will receive logbooks to fill in three weeks in advance.
