Description

Young Professional Event on the Biobased Economy
"Green raw material as engine of our economy"

A biobased economy runs on biomass. In such an economy, diverse products such as medicines, plastics and energy are no longer made from fossil raw materials. Green raw materials form the basis: algae, wood, cow manure. The biobased economy offers new opportunities for the Netherlands, with our know-how in logistics, chemicals, energy, etc.

But the biobased economy is not there yet. The important challenge is, to make the biomass chains economically profitable and sustainable. Innovative and intensive cooperation is needed between business, government and science. And as a Young Professional, you can play an important role in this.

Would you like to know more about the biobased economy? Discuss a green future? And network with other Young Professionals? Then put 6 October in your diary! On that day, Essent is organising an event about the biobased economy, especially for Young Professionals. We are bringing together ambitious young people from different industries, government and science, with the aim of setting this collaboration in motion. Speakers from different disciplines will give their views and topics within the biobased economy will be discussed in a lively House of Commons debate. Afterwards, you can continue the discussion while enjoying a snack and a drink.

Participation is free of charge. You can only participate in this event if you register in advance. You will be informed as soon as possible whether you can participate. This is due to the limited number of places per company/institution
