H2 Platform is hosting a webinar 'H2 in transport, future or already reality?' on 10 June from 13.30 - 15.00. During the webinar we will address the question: trucks, tractors, rigids and vans: can it already be hydrogen-powered?'

Zero Emission hydrogen passenger cars with fuel cell technology are now increasingly hitting the road. Hydrogen-powered city buses were already there. There are also already special vehicles, including for rubbish collection and street sweeping that run on hydrogen. And several conversion projects have been realised.

A network of refuelling facilities is also under development for these and future vehicles. But what about vehicles for transporting goods? Are delivery vans already coming? When can the 44-tonne hydrogen-powered tractor-trailer combination start providing urban distribution? And won't uncertain economic prospects put a spanner in the works?

This is what the H2 Platform is organising a fascinating webinar about, with presentations on:

  • Possibilities and impossibilities at the moment - Carl Holthausen (Holthausen)
  • What are the OEMs doing? - Wijnand de Geus (RAI Association), Simon Smit (Renault ZE) and Wijnand van den Brink (Volvo Trucks)
  • What is already being realised? Summary of DKTIs - Roel de Natris (TNO)
  • Infrastructure: 30-40kgH2 refuelling in anH2 truck? - Edward Doorten (Green Planet)
  • Financing this form of mobility, seen at this time?-(TBA)
  • Zero Emission alternatives on hydrogen - Robin Zwalvert (KEYOU)

This will be interspersed with responses from a live expert panel present which includes:

  • Wijnand van de Brink (Volvo Trucks)
  • Wijnand de Geus (RAI Association)
  • Peter van Gompel (TNO)
  • Peter de Rooy (de Rooy Transport)
  • Simon Smit (Renault ZE)
  • René Wissink (TDS)

Chairman and moderator of the whole on behalf of the H2 Platform is Eric Beers (Hytruck Consult).
