QUALITY CIRCULAR POLYMERS
On 29 April 2016, 18 of us paid a very interesting visit to the new branch of Quality Circular Polymers at the Chemelot business park in Geleen. CEO H. Meessen gave an interesting presentation of QCP from the ´birth´ of the idea of QCP to production in the successful month of April 2016, in which a good commercial success was already realised. Various products were shown to the visitors, already made from the HDPE granules of the QCP process. Several major concerns are already strongly interested in the recycled grade polymers, which QCP can supply.http://www.qcpolymers.com
The plant was built at a record pace in a period between January 2015 and September 2015, and pilot production started as early as October 2015. For more information on the construction process, please see QCP's timeline on the company's website. http://www.qcpolymers.com During the visit in April 2016, the plant was already fully commissioned and, of course, inevitable teething problems were encountered during the start-up of the various process steps. These have since been largely overcome. H. Meessen answered the many good questions from our interested audience with attention and care.
After the presentation, we were guided through the entire production process by ´building pastor´ COO M. Houtermans. Successively, these are the intake of the used, partly mixed plastic raw materials, the extensive, very modern purification and separation process into HDPE and PP plastic fractions of the right particle size, and finally the concluding extrusion step, in which the HDPE and PP are brought back to the customer's correct, desired specification. The company also has its own quality lab, in which the intermediate and final products from the production process are checked. In addition, QCP staff are constantly looking for new customers and new recipes for existing and new customers for this circular cycle of plastics.
Finally, we concluded the tour in the company's conference room, where we said goodbye to both of QCP's enthusiastic entrepreneurs.

Description
Quality Circular Polymers (QCPP) is a new company at the Chemelot site in Geleen. The company started operations in October 2015 and has since been producing specified high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and various types of polypropylene (PP) based on collected plastics using a completely new combination of technologies. QCP's Management Team is happy to give our members an insight into the process of getting from a basic idea to financing and building their first production facility with two production lines at the Chemelot site in Geleen. They are also willing to show up to 20 of our members around their new production facility. You understand, unfortunately, that we are not allowed to take photos in the production process. For the company tour, we ask our participants to bring as much personal protective equipment as possible, especially safety shoes, helmet and safety glasses. QCP has only limited loan materials available.
